Laminate

Laminate is used across many of our products, from booths and seating shells to tabletops. In this guide, we cover available colors and finishes.

Laminate Styles

Laminate is available in a wide range of styles to suit different design needs. The most common categories are wood grains, solid colors, and specialty patterns.

Wood grain laminates replicate the look of natural wood while offering greater durability and consistency.

Solid colors provide a clean, uniform appearance.

Specialty patterns include stone, metallics, textiles, and abstract designs. These are typically used as accent surfaces.

All of these options are available through Wilsonart® and Formica® and can be specified across booths, tables, and other surfaces throughout a space.

Finishes and Suffix Codes

Wilsonart® and Formica® both use suffixes at the end of each laminate color to indicate the surface finish. The color number stays the same, but the suffix tells you how the laminate will look and feel, whether it is matte, textured, or glossy.

These finishes affect glare, cleanability, scratch visibility, and overall appearance.

Common laminate finishes

  • Matte: Smooth, low-gloss finish used for most commercial surfaces
  • Textured / Velvet: – Light texture that helps hide wear and fingerprints
  • Satin: Slight sheen with a softer look
  • High Gloss: Polished surface used for decorative or accent areas
